National Nutrition Month - 2016
In 2016, Healthy Aging DPG once again asked members how they celebrated National Nutrition Month®.
We received many creating ideas!
Kathryn Tucker, MS, RD, CSG, LD, with the Department for Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) in Kentucky, assembled a robust list of resources for the State of Kentucky Senior Centers. Centers held taste testing events, a nutrition expo, cooking demonstrations and nutrition presentations.
Renee Taylor, DTR, hosted a "Step It Up Challenge." This included the creation of a "green" recipe book, hosting a healthy snack sampling day and awarding prizes for the most improved.
